Manufactured from customer drawings or samples, Special Tooth Lock Washers cover tooth configurations from internal, external and double-row (internal + external) to conical tooth designs. During tightening, the tooth tips bite simultaneously into the bolt head/nut and the mating surface, creating a mechanical lock that resists vibration, shock and dynamic loosening.
As a China customize tooth lock washer manufacturer, Ningbo Yinzhou Zhenhua supplies AISI 304 (A2), AISI 316 (A4) and 65Mn, with tooth geometry, dimensions and finishes tailored to each application. Purchase these lock washers directly from the factory to confirm drawings, lead time and batch requirements.
There is no fixed standard size range for this product. Washer dimensions and tooth geometry are manufactured according to the approved customer drawing, sample or confirmed specification.

For sample-based development, the original part can be submitted for dimensional inspection and production evaluation before tooling is finalized.
The customization is not limited to the outside diameter or thickness. For tooth lock washers, the tooth geometry itself can determine how the washer behaves during installation.
Teeth are formed toward the bore and engage beneath the fastener head. This configuration is useful when the space outside the fastener is restricted.
Teeth extend toward the outside circumference and provide a larger engagement area. This arrangement is commonly considered where sufficient clearance is available around the fastener.
Two tooth areas are incorporated into the same washer. This configuration can be developed when both the fastener head and mating surface require controlled tooth engagement.
A dished or conical body adds elastic movement to the tooth-locking action. The geometry can be adjusted when the joint requires additional spring travel or compensation for dimensional changes.
For a new custom washer, the most useful information is the actual joint requirement, not simply the washer name.
A customer drawing can specify the critical dimensions, tolerances, tooth profile, material and finish directly. Where no drawing is available, an existing washer or mating component can be supplied as a physical sample for evaluation.
After the dimensions and tooth profile are confirmed, tooling can be developed for sample production. The approved sample then becomes the reference for subsequent batch production.
This approach is particularly suitable for replacement parts, discontinued washers, OEM assemblies and applications where standard DIN dimensions do not fit the existing joint.
For custom tooth designs, material selection should be considered together with the tooth geometry. A change in material can affect the washer's forming behavior, hardness and elastic response, so the final specification should be confirmed before tooling and mass production.
The final finish can be selected according to the base material and application.
For coated parts, the coating thickness and dimensional effect should be considered when defining the final washer dimensions and tooth profile.
Custom Special Tooth Lock Washers require closer control of the tooling and forming process than simply changing the washer diameter.
Ningbo Yinzhou Zhenhua combines stamping, progressive die production and machining with in-house tooling design and maintenance. This allows custom tooth profiles to be evaluated during sampling and then transferred into repeat production using the approved tooling and specifications.
Drawing / sample review → tooling development → first sample → dimensional and functional confirmation → approval → series production → batch inspection → packaging
Customer requirements for dimensions, materials, surface treatment and packaging can be incorporated into the production documentation for subsequent batches.
An IATF 16949 quality management system supports process control and batch consistency.
At minimum, provide the drawing or sample, fastener size, required material, estimated quantity and surface treatment. If available, information about the mating material and operating environment is also useful.
For a replacement washer, an existing sample can often provide more practical information than a product name alone.
Yes. A sample can be used as the reference for dimensional evaluation and tooth-geometry assessment. If the original washer is no longer available, a mating screw, bolt or assembly drawing can help establish the required dimensions.
Yes. Tooth count, height, orientation and other profile parameters can be reviewed according to the required fastener engagement and mating surface. The final geometry should be confirmed through the approved drawing or sample before series production.
It can be developed when the standard DIN geometry does not meet the actual assembly requirement. However, a custom washer should not be treated as a direct dimensional replacement without checking the fastener head, joint surface, available clearance and required locking behavior.
Both prototype/sample quantities and repeat production can be discussed. Tooling requirements, minimum order quantity and lead time depend on the washer dimensions, material, tooth complexity and annual demand.
Yes. A physical sample can be used for engineering evaluation and production development. For repeat orders, the confirmed dimensions and specifications are documented so subsequent batches can be produced against an approved reference.
